CHARLES (BUCK) LOGAN

Buck Logan has practiced communications law for more than 20 years.  He represents and advises clients on a broad range of wireless, wireline, and mass media issues, including spectrum policy, spectrum auctions, mergers, foreign ownership, licensing matters, digital TV, and rulemaking proceedings.
 
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Logan was Chief of the Policy & Rules Division of the FCC’s Mass Media Bureau.  He also served as the Mass Media Bureau’s Acting Deputy Bureau Chief.  During his time at the FCC, Mr. Logan worked on spectrum and mass media policy issues, including the transition to digital TV, ownership regulations, and licensing of mass media facilities.  He received the FCC Chairman’s Special Achievement Award.
 
Prior to joining the FCC, Mr. Logan practiced communications law at the firm of Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C.  He is a graduate of Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude (1983).  He received his law degree from Yale Law School (1987).  After graduating from law school, Mr. Logan was a Bigelow Fellow & Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School, and then served as a law clerk to the Honorable Levin H. Campbell, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
